An evening spent at Orchard with Jenn

Yesterday, I was out to do my own thing till 4-ish. Then met up with Jenn at Takashimaya at Orchard. We window-shopped at LV and Tiffany and Co. bountiques at Ngee Ann City. I wanted to check out the price of a bag I had an eye on. Found out the price of the bag but didn't get it. Hahaha...

Dinner at Pizza Hut at Lucky Plaza around 6-ish. Afterwards, we window-shopped at Paragon. I was actually looking for a coin pouch then. Hence, we went to Prada, Gucci and Burberry. The gold-colored coin pouch at Prada is a bit pricy but pretty nice. Didn't really like the Gucci ones and Burberry doesn't do coin pouches.

Later, we went for a drink at Coffee Club at Paragon. I was still thinking about the coin pouch, whether to get it from Prada or LV.... Hahahaha... We left at 9-ish and took the train home to Yishun.

Too bad I didn't bring along my camera as we didn't plan in advance of the outing. Otherwise, I would be uploading a couple of pictures onto here. =) Speaking of pictures, my ex commented on my current Facebook/Blog display picture(below)on Wednesday: "pls change ur display pic. its ghastly. and im not kidding." First thought came to mind was how weird that was. 14 months since the breakup and a comment like that out of the blue?? Anyways.... whatever. I happen to like it and it shall remain.

An evening spent at Bugis

After teaching, I met my friend at Fortune Centre for dinner in the evening. After dinner, we watched Indian dance. It was really good even though I didn't understand what they were saying. It ended at 9pm, then my friend and I went shopping. She took me to the new shopping centre, Iluma, where I bought my new pair of high heels. It was really cheap! hehehe...

Got home around 11.30pm. Really enjoyed my outing yesterday evening. =)

What I did on New Year's Eve~

Well, first was I couldn't believe that I had to teach night school on New Year's Eve. I even called the school to double confirm this! As expected, only one student turned up! So I just did a one to one lesson. Turned out the lesson was quite fun and my student was glad that she came though she told me that she had plans with her husband that night. =)

Caught a movie, Bedtime Stories after my class and since the mall was closed and a few people hanging around after the movie, I decided to act cute. He's not my idol by the way. I was just trying to see how the picture turns out. hahahaha...

Bought a Canon Selphy ES30 (a photo printer) at Best Denki at Junction 8. I ordered during a Christmas promotion and the stock came in on 30th Dec.08. Cost $299 comes with freebies. Printed a few photos already! It's a fine machine, y'all!

My New Year's resolution

As for my new year's resolution is to become a vegan. But it's gonna be a difficult one for me as I love ice creams, cheeses and chocolates. Sigh.... Anywho, I will try my very best to cut down on my sweet tooth and cravings.

When I became a vegan, that doesn't mean my future husband has to be one. However, I do hope that he will slowly evolved into one. If not, I will be drooling when I see him waving ice creams in my face. Hahahaha....(jk)

I've been a vegetarian since I was 15. So if my boyfriend isn't a vegetarian, I won't ask him to change into one just because of me. What if when he eats out with his friends or family? I won't say this to him either, "if our love is strong enough, you will change your diet" or "you didn't love me enough". I mean what if we were no longer together? Then what? I would rather he thinks of the animals and the enviroment he saved. That way, he will become a vegetarian in his freewill, just like me. =)

As for my friends and students, I do try my best to tell them to try vegetarian food. Even a meal of vegetarian a day or a day a week will help to reduce global warming. ^^ No doubt that grazing animals is not the only factor that caused global warming, but did you know that: 70% of our food like grains, corns, vegetables, etc and water go towards grazing animals so humans are left with 30%. No wonder there's food shortage! What if a drought or a flood destroyed the crops? Or the harvest is little due to global warming? Then humans will be left with what? 15%?? :~(

I'm really glad that a lot of countries are doing their part to promote vegetarianism. One of recent ones is the United States of America. Let's hope for the best for 2009! Cheers!!
